ARIZONA

Arizona law directs alternative schools to serve students in one or more of the following categories: students with behavioral issues; students identified as dropouts; pregnant or parenting students; adjudicated youth; or students in poor academic standing who are either more than a year behind in academic credits or have a demonstrated pattern of failing grades.
