ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION

NEVADA

Nevada law states that alternative education is for students at risk of dropping out of school or abusing alcohol and controlled substances.

Nevada gives significant guidance on alternative education, saying programs may include a shorter or longer school day, an altered calendar year, a comprehensive curriculum that includes career and technical education, an opportunity to obtain academic credit through work experience, the provision of child care, or independent study.
